What is Buccal?

Buccal facial massage is a specialised technique performed both inside and outside the mouth to target the deeper muscles of the face and jaw.

This approach helps release physical tension, improve circulation, and support lymphatic drainage, while also addressing areas where emotional stress is commonly stored within the face, jaw, and head.

By working on these deeper structures, buccal massage can assist in:

  • relieving jaw discomfort from TMJ syndrome

  • reducing headaches

  • reducing sinus pressure

  • and restoring balance to the facial muscles.

Clients often experience a profound sense of physical and emotional release, along with a refreshed, lifted appearance and a natural, healthy glow to the skin.

The treatment.

  1. A Buccal Facial Massage treatment consists of a facial cleanse, followed by face, neck, shoulders and decolletage massage.

  3. Scalp massage (face mask included for longer treatments), and Craniosacral Therapy.

  4. Finished by a cleanse, mist, and moisturiser using Organic Skin Australia products.

Frequently asked questions.

Q. Does Buccal hurt?
A. No, Buccal is deeply relaxing and should not be painful. There may be occasional moments of tension release through specifically tight muscles, however I work with the muscles rather than fighting them to relax and reset.

Q. I have Invisalign or braces, can I still get a Buccal treatment?
A. Yes! In fact I also have Invisalign and have found Buccal facial massage to be extremely relieving for my constant jaw tension and pain from new aligners.

Q. Can you still massage if I have makeup on?
A. I recommend coming with a clean, make-up free face to get the most out of your treatment time.
